raw notes
Today I wanna share with you something which is that I really like finding the most random facts about animals. One of my favorite animals is the tiger. So recently I learned something about them. I didn’t expect at all, every single tiger has a unique stripe pattern, kind of like human fingerprints.
The stripes actually help them hide when they’re hunting in tall grass. Even though they look bright orange to us, many animals they hunt don’t see color the same way, so the stripes break up their shape and make them harder to notice.
The part that surprised me the most is that the stripes aren’t only on their fur, they’re on their skin too. So if you shaved a tiger, you would still see the pattern.
What made this interesting to me personally and what I learned is that tigers aren’t just powerful predators – they’re also completely unique individuals.
